Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the booking, provision, and execution of cosmetic tattooing services at The Nano Studio, located at 47 Helwick Street, Wānaka. By scheduling an appointment or paying a booking deposit, you agree to the conditions outlined below.

1. Service Scope and Pricing

  • All treatments (Nano Brows, Lip Blush, and Lash Line Enhancement) are delivered at set flat rates.

  • Treatment fees cover both the primary procedure and one complementary perfecting session.

  • Techniques applied during sessions are determined strictly during the in-studio skin diagnostic assessment. Manual microblading is strictly omitted from all treatment protocols.

2. Age and Eligibility Requirements

  • Clients must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the primary procedure. Government-issued photo identification may be requested.

  • Treatments will not be performed on pregnant or nursing clients under any circumstances due to health and safety regulations.

3. Booking Deposits and Payments

  • A non-refundable booking deposit is required to secure your appointment time via our online scheduling system.

  • The remaining balance is due in full on the day of your primary treatment via approved electronic payment methods.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Punctuality

  • We require a minimum of 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment without forfeiting your deposit.

  • Rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice will result in the forfeiture of your deposit, requiring a new deposit to secure a future time slot.

  • Arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in the cancellation of your appointment to preserve treatment standards and safety protocols. Late cancellations are treated as short-notice cancellations.

5. Perfecting Sessions

  • The perfecting session included in your primary treatment package must be completed within 12 weeks of your initial procedure.

  • If you fail to attend, cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or attempt to schedule beyond the 12-week window, the perfecting session is forfeited, and additional booking fees will apply.

6. Health Disclosures and Existing Permanent Makeup

  • Clients must complete all digital intake and medical health disclosure forms accurately prior to treatment.

  • If you have existing permanent makeup performed by another studio, you must inform us prior to booking. We reserve the right to decline treatment if pre-existing pigment prevents a safe, satisfactory outcome.

  • Failure to disclose relevant medical conditions, medications, or skin treatments that result in cancellation on the day will lead to deposit forfeiture.

7. Clinical Diagnostics and Right of Refusal

  • Skin integrity and structural suitability are assessed prior to pigment application.

  • We reserve the right to decline treatment if skin condition, tissue health, or vascularity indicates high risk for tissue damage or poor pigment stability. In such instances, booking deposit policies apply based on pre-consultation guidelines.

8. Healed Outcomes and Results

  • Cosmetic tattooing is an art form applied to living tissue. While precise digital techniques are used, healed results depend on individual skin types, health, lifestyle, and post-care adherence.

  • Specific colour, depth, or longevity results cannot be guaranteed. Supplemental sessions beyond the initial perfecting session may incur additional fees.

9. Governing Law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you hold under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where applicable.
